Small businesses are the backbone of this country, and I identify with the hustle and grit it takes to succeed.

I believe every growing and thriving business should have access to qualified, experienced counsel without the obstacles that come with hiring a full-time legal team.

I grew up in the Bronx, at the intersection of the Sedgwick Housing Project and Andrews Avenue.

Decades later, I founded my law firm to provide fractional in-house counsel services to growing businesses.

“Aisha Massengill can do it all. She is masterful at deciphering complex legal issues, articulating a clear path forward and designing best outcome solutions. Her sharp financial and business acumen sets her apart. Aisha is a brilliant and trusted advisor.”

- Tchernavia RockerChief Human Resources Officer

Growing up, I played a lot of pick-up basketball with kids in my neighborhood. I was the fearless 13-year-old girl always shouting, “I got next!” in line with the older boys.

That resilience carried me through Phillips Academy in Massachusetts, where I became the first student in the school’s history to earn 12 varsity letters. It then carried me through Boston College and eventually Georgetown University Law Center.

Now, I’ve spent more than two decades delivering mission-critical legal advice and counseling in employment law. I’ve seen the full life cycle of employment in every kind of workplace.

What I can offer businesses: I take the time to learn my clients’ business inside and out – the business pressures, the personalities in play, the financial tolerance for risk. Then I use that knowledge to provide in-depth, decisive counsel that protects the company while setting it up for success.

And I do all this through flexible, subscription-based legal services designed to fit my clients’ unique budgets and legal needs.

My business law background is diverse.

I’ve worked as in-house counsel for large corporations, and I’ve also drawn up employment contracts for mom-and-pop businesses and coffee shops. Most importantly, I run my own small business, so I’ve truly been at every side of the table.

That’s why I founded Sedgwick Andrews – to provide professional legal counsel to businesses of all sizes through methods I know to be tried and true.

I don’t just quote you the rule book. I strive to be a thought partner, a trusted advisor who has just as much stake in the success of your business as you do.

From the Bronx to the boardroom, I’ve learned that success comes from knowing the game and playing it smart. And I’m ready to be your strategic partner at the intersection of law and business growth.
